Is justice always just?

Why do you believe that sometimes innocent people are found to be guilty in court? Should we continue to punish criminals, even though it is rare to be 100% positive that they committed a crime? What is your opinion of the death penalty?

  1. Justice not always just because people are still racist. There are more black than white people in prison. So I don’t think justice always just. There are people that in prison that are innocent.

  2. I dont think justice is always just. I think the innocent people get convicted guilty because the judge is human and humans make mistakes.

  3. Sometimes innocent people are found guility because of the smallest evidence that could be used against them. The death penality is not right ! It’s unfair & hateful.

  4. I believe that it’s not right to convict someone of the crimes that they didn’t do. I think the only way they should be sent to jail is if they’re is reasonable proof to show that they’ve committed the crime. I don’t belive that anyone should be sentanced to the death penalty because dying isn’t going to punish a person, Only person that should have the right to kill someone is God.

  5. Sometimes people are found guilty for a crime they didn’t do. I feel like that’s wrong and messed up, because no one should be punished for something that they didn’t do. At the end of the day it’s life, life ain’t fair. My opinion about the death penalty is that it’s not always necessary, it should depend on the crime.

  6. Innocent people are sometimes found guilty in court, because of the decision of the judge and jury. They may have had thoughts or something that gave them a reason to find them guilty. Sometimes it is better to be safe than sorry, especially when it is a close call regarding their innocence. I do believe in the death penalty. It depends on the severeness of the crime.

  8. Justice is not always just because justice you must do what is right when solving a problem. Just comes in many forms and you have to accept the fact that wrong is wrong and right is right. ( God’s justice always gives the truth if you ask me).

  9. Sometimes innocent people are foungd guilty in court becdause they hang with the wrong type of people. When you with bad people they considered you bad too so when they get in trouble and you with them you get in trouble with them . Justice is not always just becuase some laws are not fair and people don’t always follow them.

  10. I think Justice its not always fair the wrong people sometimes are found guilty . When the wrong people are found guilty the killer could still be on the street. What goes around comes around remember that when you do bad things to people.

  11. Justice is only justice in the eyes of the victim. The only person who can truly give justice is someone not involved. Sometimes the wrong people are found guilty and when that happens the killer or wrong doer could commit more crimes. The death penalty should only be given to those who are truly guilty.

  12. Justice is not fair, they put innocent people in jail who didn’t commit any crime by lack of evidence they’ve been sent to do time they didn’t even deserve. The ones that committed the crime deserve to be where they were sentenced to, death penalty in my opinion is too easy for the criminal they should stay in a prison cell and do their time.

  13. Some trials are unfair, and it upsets to know that an innocent man can go to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. I hope that the justice system is honest and that they’re doing the best they can to be 100% sure about all choices they make. I don’t believe in the death penalty, I think to put someone in jail for the rest of their life is a much greater punishment. No human being should have to claim another’s life.

  14. Sometimes innocent people are found guilty because maybe they have so much evidence and witnesses leading back to them that the jury has nothing else to say except that he finds the defendant guilty. But i also feel that we shouldnt stop punishing people, but before a judge actually calls someone guilty him and the jury should look deeper into the case. I totally agree with the death penalty, why? because i feel like if a person has commited murder multiple time on purpose and taking someones life, someone should take his life.

  15. I believe that innocent people are found to be guilty in court because the police or court system is always trying to close a case by convicting the wrong person. I have seen it happen before. They lie and say they have evidence on that person when they really dont. They are just trying to scare the person. We should continue to punish criminals but the right ones. Sometimes the courts can be wrong, they need to work on being right sometimes. I dont think anyone should have the death penality. I dont think it is anyone duty to kill someone although they have raped, killed, kidnap, or abducted anyone. You should leave it up to the Lord and put it in his hands. At the end of the day, he is the one who needs to do all the judging.

  17. I believe that innocent people that are in court don’t say the right stuff or cant defend themselves. I don’t think we should punish anybody if we don’t have full proof that their guilty. My opinion about the death penalty is that it is wrong! who are we to judge if somebody dies or not?

  18. In addition to my earlier comment, I’d like to say that there’s too many people(blacks to be specific) dieing innocently in these chairs. ;(

  19. I believe that the innocent are sometimes found guilty because people are far too bent on one answer to see into the other end of the spectrum. It may be the family of the victim that is positive that a certain person has done something and has spun every possible outcome to point fingers at the innocent party. The prosecutors could even be biased about who is and isn’t guilty. I believe that we should continue to punish people who have committed a crime beyond a reasonable doubt, but i think that the justice system needs to be reworked, along with our political system. I think that the death penalty is only fair for murderers. I believe that if you take life, you don’t deserve any other fate than the same one you dealt to someone. Murders are typically repeat offenders, so you are saving lives by ending them in most cases.

  20. i think that we need to keep trying criminals even though its not 100% because i f we dont we could be letting dangerous people walk the streets. i think the death penalty is left off everybody should have to sit in prison and serve their time.

  21. Innocent people are pleaded guilty in court because there is not enough evidence to actually prove that they are innocent and to set them free. So therefore, it is just easier for the judges that do not have enough evidence to plead the person innocent to send the innocent person in jail just in case. I believe that even though it is wrong for an innocent person to be pleaded guilty I rather have a “so called” innocent person locked up and not set free so that person to continue doing the same actions. I have a very strong opinion towards the death penalty. I believe people should lose their lives because of a wrong thing they have done. If the action they have done is that horrible than yes they should be given the death penalty. But if a life isn’t worth losing for the action you commit than it is better to suffer in jail than to be simply killed.

  22. Innocent people are sometimes found guilty for crimes they did not commit because the real criminals are cowards and will not own up to their actions, but instead let someone else take their fall. We should continue to punish criminals but we should go through deeper more precise ways of finding out the real criminals. I only believe in the death penalty in very severe cases like if someone murders someone or multiple people and the judge is 100% sure that they committed the crime,

  23. i have seen on TV people getting out jail 15 year later after being found guilty of murder when they did not kill no one but they find the killer and tells the person that spent 15 years in jail. they lost 15 year with their child. they lost 15 years of their life over something they did not even do . they cant function in life because they missed so much. most people who have spent that much time in jail get out but go back because all they know how to do is be in jail. we should continue to punish those who pleaded guilty and have 100% of proof not people who plead not guilty they have no proof but word of mouth of someone. if they is hot hard evidence then their is no reason to be killed. the death penalty should be the most painless death available not the electric chair.the electric chair is painful and sometimes people don’t die they still be alive and have to suffer and i wouldn’t want no one to suffer like that.

  24. i think innocient people are sometimes to be found guilty because of the way justice is set up. if the animal jumps, its a rabbit. it could also be a dog, frog, or anything else, but as long as it jumps, we think it is a rabbit! No, i think we should be 100% sure they are guilty (video & picture) then give them time. I think no one deserves to die, but if they took someone elses life on purpose, why not take theirs on purpose?

  25. justice is not always just ,because sometimes the judge send to jail the wrong person and the guilty person is out there living the life ,while the innocent one is in jail .that’s not fair

  26. i think that it still should be used but only if there is 100% proof to back it up. If you can not prove that someone did something then they should not be punished for it.

  27. They dont like speaking for theirself. No , beacuse not all inmates committed real crimes. What is your opinion of the death penalty? They should not have death penalty because adventure be with the life sentence is going to die

    .

  28. Law Enforcement all over this country is prejudice. People with money get no jail time for major crimes while the poor person gets a mountain of time for nothing. People are in prison for life for drug offenses while murders and sex offenders get off. Tell my where your buddy is laid to rest. I owe him flowers for killin the FED.

  29. I believe sometimes innocent people go to jail because they don’t have any witness or any proof of what they are saying. Yes, we should continue punishing criminals for their crimes. They have committed because they should see how it feels to hurt innocent people. My opinion of the death penalty is to make the criminals suffer by setting them on fire instead of electrocution.

  30. we should continue to keep criminals in jail because i believe that if u did a crime you should have to pay for what you did.. but also you have to watch if they innocent are not because we have alot of innocent people in jail..

  31. Justice is not always just. Most people are found guilty when innocent because of racism. For example, Zimmerman is still alive after killer Trayvon, a teenager who had nothing but a tea and skittles.

  32. I feel that if you dont have 100% proof that they did the crime you shouldn’t charge them for it. I think the dealth penalty is only necessary for people that commit dozens of murders
