Today we will read another version of ”Where I come from” by JayZ. We will take notes as we analyze the poem/lyrics, examining each line in the stanza.
Writing Prompt 1: In a brief essay, identify at least three of the attitudes about society reflected in the poem. Support your statements by specific references to the poem.
Writing Prompt 2: Read both poems carefully and then write an essay in which you explain how each poet relates events in his past differently. Refer specifically to details of both poems.
